With a Master of Public Health in Parks and Recreation, you will gain the knowledge and skills to influence decisions about resources and land use with the health of the public in mind.
The IU School of Public Health-Bloomington is known nationally and internationally for the quality of its graduate programs. In this two-year* program, you will learn about the links between recreation and public health while developing administrative and leadership skills for planning, implementing, and evaluating creative leisure and recreation interventions.
Graduates of the program work within the parks, recreation, and leisure delivery systems in built and natural environments to promote the health of the public. This degree prepares you for leadership positions in the field such as:
- Parks directors
