MS in Health Promotion

The Master of Science with a concentration in Health Promotion allows you to gain the skills to help individuals and communities increase control over and improve their health.

The IU School of Public Health-Bloomington is known nationally and internationally for the quality of its graduate programs. In this two-year program* you will:

  • Learn strategies to help individuals and communities to improve and increase control over their health, including social and behavioral determinants of health and the philosophy and principles of health education;
  • Gain skill sets and learn best practices to assess, design, implement, and evaluate health promotion programs;
  • Work on research projects with faculty and fellow students; and
  • Develop professional skills through a capstone project that can be completed in a variety of settings afforded by the Bloomington community.

Courses are held on the beautiful Indiana University-Bloomington campus, where you'll find an inspiring setting, high-tech classrooms and labs, gorgeous arts venues, and plenty of grand spaces where you can join other Hoosiers in a welcoming and supportive community.
