MPH in Behavioral, Social, and Community Health

A Master of Public Health with a concentration in Behavioral, Social, and Community Health allows you to gain the knowledge and skills needed to address pressing social health issues such as childhood obesity or the spread of sexually transmitted infections.

The IU School of Public Health-Bloomington is known nationally and internationally for the quality of its graduate programs. In this two-year*, practice-based program, you will:

  • Learn about the determinants of health;
  • Design, implement, and evaluate effective health behavior change interventions in the community;
  • Study the theories and conceptual frameworks of public health, intervention design, health program evaluation, and acquiring and managing resources; and
  • Gain opportunities to work with faculty members on service, teaching, and research projects.
