The online Graduate Certificate in Addiction Intervention provides graduate students, individual practitioners, and professionals Evidence-Based Practices (EBP) in prevention, as well as, treatment to enhance referral to qualified clinical professionals.
The curriculum provides 12 credits of course work, tailored to students' interests, and a 3 credit "Motivational Interviewing" capstone project that will give practical skills in guiding someone to preventive services or, if needed, referring them for clinical help. Upon completion of these 15 credit hours online courses, the Indiana Counselor’s Association on Alcohol and Drug Abuse (ICAADA) will award the Professional Certificate.
